You will find us perfectly situated just outside Sogndal center, right by the fjord and the magnificent mountain landscapes that the Norwegian West Country is famous for. A short, scenic 10-minute stroll along the beautiful Fjordstien path brings you straight into the heart of town, while a great local swimming spot and a variety of shops are even closer at hand.
Our campsite is self-service for your convenience, though we do a friendly walk-around every evening to ensure all our guests are settled and that payments are processed (see more info under "Payment"). We offer prime spots for tents, cars, motorhomes, and caravans, though please note that we do not offer cabin rentals. Check-out is by 12:00 PM.
We warmly invite you to spend a night or more nestled among the apple trees in what was once Northern Europe’s largest apple orchard. We look forward to welcoming you to this unique piece of history!

Everything you need is close by: A short stroll from the campsite brings you to a convenient selection of shops, including grocery stores and a pharmacy.

A scenic commute: You can reach the heart of Sogndal in just 10 minutes via the picturesque Fjordstien (The Fjord Path).

The perfect home base: Our campsite is the ideal starting point for exploring the Fjordstien, fjord-side walks, and cycling trails out to Stedjeberget. For hikers, the trail to Stedjeåsen (600m) begins right here!

Majestic peaks nearby: World-class mountain hikes such as Molden (1116m), Loftesnesfjellet (650m), and Storehogen (1169m) are all just a short drive away.
About the Campsite and Your Stay

Drop-in flexibility: We do not take reservations, but there is almost always a spot waiting for you! (Note: Exceptions apply during the Lerum Cup, June 25–28, 2026).

Camping for everyone: We offer plenty of space for tents, caravans, motorhomes, and campers. Please note that we no longer offer cabins or apartments for rent.

Modern power access: Enjoy safe and easy connection to electricity via our newly installed power pillars throughout the grounds.

Upgraded facilities: New for the 2026 season, we are proud to offer partially renovated sanitary facilities featuring brand-new showers. Our remaining facilities, though older, are well-maintained and fully functional.

Simple payment: Paying for your stay is easy! Use the Vipps app, or you can pay by cash or card when we perform our evening rounds (see the "Payment" section for full details).
Payment and Rates
We are happy to offer spots for motorhomes, caravans, and tents. Please note that Stedje Camping operates on a "first-come, first-served" basis. To keep things flexible for all our travelers, we do not take advance reservations—simply arrive and find your perfect spot!

Payment via Vipps: You can pay quickly and easily via the Vipps app. We kindly ask that you find a spot you love before completing your payment, as we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds if you change your mind or if the site is full. When paying, please include your vehicle’s registration number (or the color of your tent if you are traveling without a vehicle) in the message field and use the Vipps code: 888565 (Stedje Camping)

Payment by Card or Cash: If you prefer to pay by card or cash, we will visit you directly during our evening rounds! These usually take place around 9:00 PM (21:00), though times may vary. You can always find the most up-to-date information posted at the reception by the entrance. During busy periods, it may take us a little longer to reach everyone, and we sincerely thank you for your patience while we make our rounds.
Lerum Cup 2026
Welcome to Stedje Camping during Lerum Cup!
We look forward to once again welcoming many excited families and young football players during the tournament weekend, June 25th–28th, 2026. We expect a high number of visitors and a lively atmosphere during these days, and we highly recommend booking your spot in advance.

Staying as a team: If you wish to stay with your team or others you know, we recommend booking as a group and/or arriving together. We expect high demand, and the chances of securing your preferred spot are higher the earlier you arrive.

Weekend Rate: Due to the high demand throughout the Sogn region during the tournament weekend, the rate covers the entire weekend (3 nights) regardless of your actual arrival or departure date. Please note that special rates apply for this weekend; more information will be provided upon booking.

Payment: Please wait to pay until arrival. This makes it easier for us to manage arrivals and ensures we can place as many units from the same teams together as possible.
